Robbie Simpson
On loan at Brentford

A striker who can also play on the wing. Simpson began his career at Norwich City as a trainee, but was released without making an appearance for the Canaries. Following his release he was signed up by Cambridge City where he would go on to make 113 appearances and scored 42 goals. During his time at Cambridge City his contract was secretly amended by a member of the board. Because of this he was allowed to move on a free at the end of his contract without City being entitled to any compensation. At the end his contract he joined the other Cambridge side as he signed for United on a free. He spent a year at United where he managed 17 goals and winning the Player Of The Year award. When his contract expired he joined Championship side Coventry City on a free transfer. Starts at Coventry where limited and the majority of his Sky Blue appearances came from the bench, while he was also played out of his natural position. He signed for Town in June 2009 for a fee of around £300,000 on a three year deal. He joined Brentford on a season long loan in August.
