Alan Lee

Veteran target man who joined Town towards the end of the 2010 summer transfer window from Championship side Crystal Palace. Lee started his career as part of Aston Villa’s youth set up, but never featured for the first team and got his first taste of League football at Torquay United during which he scored his first career goal in the derby game against Exeter City. Following another loan spell, this time at Port Vale, he moved permanently north to join Burnley for £200000 but his time at Turf Moor was to be a short one before he made the move that made his name by joining Rotherham United. Following a 3 year spell he appeared over 100 times and scored 41 goals, which alerted Cardiff City who brought him to South Wales for £850,000. An injury hit 3 years at Ninian Park were brought to an end when Ipswich Town signed him, where he made 100+ appearances, scoring 34 times. Crystal Palace was his next port of call, where he scored 11 goals in 73 appearances and had a brief loan spell at Norwich City.
