A defender and midfielder who is the younger brother of Town defender Nathan. He joined the academy in 2000, before signing professional terms in January 2005. Just a month after that he made his full Town début in a 2-1 defeat at the National Hockey Stadium to MK Dons. During his time at the club he’s been in and out of the side, with his more regular action coming in loan spells at Halifax Town and Bradford City. His first Town goal came in a 2-0 home win over Blackpool in January 2006. He has found himself a more regular member of the first team squad since Lee Clark took over as manager, with Clark extending Clarkes contract until 2011.
