19 year old striker who started his career in the youth set up at Barnsley. He made his full proffesional debut while on loan at Conference side Oxford United in a 1-0 win at Farsley Celtic just three days after making his debut against Torquay United. He returned to Ipswich and made a handfull of sub appearnces, as well as scoring his first career goal in a 1-1 draw at Cardiff City. The following season he spent spells on loan at League Two sides Rochdale and Brentford.  At Rochdale he scored twice in five appearnces over a month, before scoring 7 in 14 for Brentford in a spell that was cut short due to injury. While at Brentford he scored his first hat trick in a 3-1 win at Shrewsbury, becoming the youngest scorer of a hat trick in Brentford history. He had a superb first season at Town, finishing as the clubs top scorer.
