Gary Roberts

A pacey winger who has been capped at England C level. He spent his early career playing in the Welsh League for Denbigh Town, Bala Town, Rhyl, Bangor City and Welshpool Town as well as a spell at Crewe Alexandra where he made his League debut. He then joined Conference side Accrington Stanley on a free where he got his first run in a side and scored his first career goal in a 2-2 draw at home to York City. After 18 months and a Conference Championship win he moved to Championship side Ipswich Town, where he failed to hold down a regular first team place. During the Summer of 2008 Stan Ternent brought him to Town for £250,000 and a productive first year saw him pick up the main two Player Of The Year awards as well as scoring a career best 11 goals during the season. In July 2009 he extended his contract with Town until 2012.
